I made this pattern last year for the third pattern design challenge Elizabeth Olwen on Skillshare.

The theme was Spring, and we had one week to finish the concept and the design.
My design was inspired by the Newroz celebrations (the Kurdish new year)Women in colourful dresses, men playing music, everyone dancing joyfully in circles – this the Newroz that I watched from my parents balcony in Damascus.

 

Later on I animated the pattern at HECAT, and we sent it to our friends and clients as the Spring/Summer holiday greeting card for 2017.​
